Father Son Team Scores!

We recently were informed about this event, The 308 Win Challenge, it was held on March 27, 2004 at the Ohio 1000yd IBS Club to determine the best 308 Rifleman. The match consisted of shooting two targets of 5 shots each, on 2 separate relays, scored according to 1000yd IBS rules for best score and best group with the two targets aggregated. And to honor this young man and his Father, we thought we’d give them the spotlight. Here is their story in the Father’s words:

“The match could be shot from any position, Jean-Pierre and I choose to shoot off our bipods and Accu-Shot. I shot the first relay and scored 35 out of 50, and a group of 7.707". My next target scored 46 and a group of 10.737", for an aggregate score 40.5 and 10 shot group of 9.222".

Jean-Pierre was up next! On his 1st target he smoked it with a score of 49/1x and an unbelievable group 6.538". On his 2nd target Jean-Pierre backed-up his stellar performance with a score of 44 and a group of 14.459", (4 shots were in 8.621") for an aggregate score of 46.5 and 10 shot group of 10.499". Jean-Pierre shot the best 5 shot group of the match of 6.538" and 5 shot score of 49/1x with a 308 win @ 1000yds from bi-pods and an Accu-Shot, not bad for a Nine year old, just unbelievable!!!!!!!!! Jean-Pierre took home the Best Score Awards and the Respect of the other 308 Marksmen. He finished 2nd in-Group!!! I won with the Best Group Award. Father and son won Best Score and Best Group @ 1000yds with a .308 Win. using a Harris bi-pod and Accu-Shot, what more can I say!!!! Thanks for a terrific product.”

Best Regards, Jean-Pierre and Pierre L. Dunlevy, Pa.
